In Karolina’s paintings it is either cold or warm.
I really can feel the temperature coming off the canvas, though I have no idea what powers she uses to do it.
The painting nods to the French phrase L’appel du vide, the call of the void.
That hard-to-explain, sudden urge to do something dangerous or irrational that you have no intention of actually doing.
One day I will think about all that more seriously.
For now I am still picking my jaw up off the floor: Karolina put a sprig of dill in this freezer too.
