Woś paints quietly and on her own terms. Her figures live on the thin line between what is allowed and what is not, and she never tips her hand about which side she stands on. Up close the painting is gentler than its subject. She is represented by Croy Nielsen in Vienna and her work is held by the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw.

Joanna Woś (born 1991) studied in Daniel Richter's class at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. She is represented by Croy Nielsen in Vienna and has shown with Wschód in New York and at Frieze London. Her work is held by the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw.
