At Home

A washing machine, an attic, a bath. Three painters who find everything they need at home: the funny, the uneasy and the tender. The most ordinary rooms in Polish painting, taken seriously.

Three rooms, and no reason to leave any of them. These are interiors that refuse to stay in the background. Walk through slowly.

Start with the most boring object in the flat. Kręcicki refuses to let it stay boring; his washing machine becomes a small monument to moving out, to leaving one home for the next.

Move up to the attic, where a home keeps what it would rather not look at. Żukowski paints the house from the inside and quietly lets something in.

Nothing happens in these rooms. That is exactly the subject.

Then close the door and stay. After the bath, nothing happens, and Galstyan gives that nothing the scale of an altarpiece.

The narrated tour

Narrated tour in production

Seven minutes through the three rooms, in Kotarski's own voice.

When the tour is filmed, this is where it will live. Until then, the rooms are open.
